    Shibamata, of Katsushika City in Tokyo, is the stage of the Shibamata 110K. This popular ultra marathon has a 100km division and a 60km division as well as a 1km family run and a 2km kid’s run. The 100k time limit is 14 hours and the senior division (Over 40 for females and over 60 for male runners) time limit is 15 hours. The 60k time limit is 9 hours.


    The race venue is held on the banks of the Edogawa River. The course extends from Tokyo to Saitama Prefecture to Ibaraki Prefecture, and back. Many aid stations offer food and drinks to keep your energy replenished. The cheer from the crowd will encourage you to keep moving forward. After the race, take a break from the city and enjoy the relaxed ambiance of the traditional, quiet, old-fashioned town of Shibamata.
